Cathy Curtis is an independent Certified Financial Plannerâ„¢ practitioner with more than 15 years' experience. Her fee-only investment advisory firm, Curtis Financial Planning, LLC specializes in portfolio management and comprehensive financial planning for women and their families. Curtis is regularly featured in local and national print media and TV, offering advice and insight as an interviewee and commentator. She also appears in TV and trade publication pieces focused on the rise of female investment advisors and social media marketing. She was selected as one of the 20 of the nation's leading wealth managers and financial experts to create the CNBC Digital Financial Advisor Council. Before becoming involved in financial services, Curtis served as a sales-and-marketing executive for Fortune 500 and private companies in the food and other consumer-products industries.

Curtis is active in numerous local food and sustainability initiatives. She is President of board of the Center of Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (the organization that manages the world-renowned Ferry Plaze Farmer's Market) and a program chair at the Commonwealth Club of California. Curtis graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.
